UNIT 5: ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM

Last unit! We are going to play a lot of online games to understand electricity and magnetism, so I think you will like it!

Today, let's play this games about MAGNETS.

Comment a VERY DIFFICULT AND INTERESTING fact about magnets.

  1. Some animals are affected by magnets:
Magnets have been used to study bee communication patterns, migratory cycles and several other animal behaviors. This is because many animals can sense magnetic fields. For instance, some sharks are repelled by them and birds and turtles navigate by them.

That the magnet do not attract plastic, glass etc. Magnet attract all iron things and metal things except cooper.

I learnt that copper and aluminum are not attracted to the magnet, it is because the order of the molecules of copper and aluminum do not form a field with a large magnetic domain.

    1. Wow! That is a tough question. That's advance science. It has to do with the flow of energy, the balance between electrons and magnetic fields...

Maybe this mega difficult video will satisfy your curiosity:

  22. I.A.R Magnetism or magnetic energy is a natural phenomenon. There are some known materials that have easily detectable magnetic properties like nickel, iron, cobalt, and their alloys which are commonly called magnets. However, all materials are influenced, to a greater or lesser extent, by the presence of a magnetic field.
